• Current LVN/LPN license with at least 2 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience. Good standing in state registry.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and directs unit duties to provide quality nursing care.
• Responsible for total nursing care of residents during the shift.
• Explains procedures and care plans to residents.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
• Transcribes physician orders and documents progress notes.
• Receives and gives reports to the oncoming shift and follows up as needed.
• Follows procedures for charting and reporting incidents.
• Monitors comfort and safety needs of residents.
• Records vital signs and notifies supervisor/physician of concerns.
• Participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Assists in rehabilitation coordination with therapists and Dietary Department.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
