Job summary

Bedford Care Center of Petal is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care to residents in our long-term care facility. You will supervise other LPNs and nurse aides and coordinate with the RN supervisor to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, charting residents’ progress, and coordinating treatments with physicians. Mississippi license in good standing required; LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Practical Nursing License in good standing in Mississippi.
• Experience in Long-Term Care nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing techniques and medical practices in LTC.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered; takes vital signs.
• Provides information regarding changes in Residents’ progress to the RN Supervisor.
• Stocks and prepares medication cart for rounds.
• Charts Residents’ progress, ailment, medication, symptoms, incidents and observations.
• Schedules and provides treatments as recommended by Physician and at a time convenient for the Resident.
