Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. The role involves supervising other LPNs and nurse aides, administering medications, charting progress and communicating changes to the RN supervisor.

The ideal candidate holds a Practical Nursing License in good standing in Mississippi and has familiarity with long-term care practices and patient-focused care delivery.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Practical Nursing License in good standing in Mississippi.
• Prefer experience in Long-Term Care Nursing.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered; takes vital signs.
• Provides information regarding changes in residents’ progress to the RN Supervisor.
• Stocks and prepares medication cart for rounds.
• Charts residents’ progress, ailment, medication, symptoms, incidents and observations.
• Schedules and provides treatments as recommended by physician and at a time convenient for the resident.
