Job summary

Bedford Care Center of Petal is seeking an LPN to provide nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. You will supervise other LPNs and nurse aides, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and report progress to the RN supervisor.

The role emphasizes documentation, coordination with physicians, and adherence to infection control practices. A Mississippi Practical Nursing License is required and LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Practical Nursing License in good standing in Mississippi.
• Experience in Long-Term Care Nursing preferred, with knowledge of nursing techniques in medical practices.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered; takes vital signs.
• Charts Residents’ progress, ailment, medication, symptoms, incidents and observations.
• Assists with Resident ADL care and provides treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Job Summary:

Provides Nursing Care to Nursing Home Residents; supervises other LPN’s and Nurse Aides.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered; takes vital signs
• Provides information regarding changes in Residents’ progress to the RN Supervisor
• Stocks and prepares medication cart for rounds
• Charts Residents’ progress, ailment, medication, symptoms, incidents and observations
• Schedules and provides treatments as recommended by Physician and at a time convenient for the Resident
• Assists with Resident ADL Care as required
• Performs physical observations of Residents and reports to RN; documents findings in medical record
• Receives and records Physicians’ Orders in medical record; ensures compliance with Physician’s Orders
• Communicates with other Departments to adequately meet Residents’ needs
• Assists in Infection Control monitoring; complies with Universal Precautions and Isolation Procedures
• Observes, monitors instructs and supervises Nurse Aides

Qualifications and Skills:

Practical Nursing License in good standing in the State of Mississippi; prefer experience in Long-Term Care Nursing with comprehensive knowledge of Nursing techniques and their relation to medical practices and skills and their application, with thorough knowledge of principles and practices of Long-Term Care.
