Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a Lab Assistant to support the Miamisburg lab on a PRN basis. You will collect, process, and prepare specimens, maintain lab equipment, and document results accurately to ensure timely diagnostic testing.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and preferably completed a Medical Lab Assistant training program or coursework, plus 6–12 months of phlebotomy or specimen processing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to one year of experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing or equivalent healthcare/laboratory experience.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver's License if role includes specimen transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and prepare specimens.
• Maintain lab equipment.
• Document results accurately to ensure timely and reliable diagnostic testing.
• Follow regulatory standards and the B Safe program.
