Job summary

Kettering Health Network in Miamisburg, OH seeks a Laboratory Lab Assistant (PRN) to support specimen collection, processing, and preparation for diagnostic testing. You will help maintain equipment, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and relevant phlebotomy or specimen processing experience; completion of a training program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver's License if role includes transportation.
• Medical Lab Assistant training program preferred.
• 6–12 months of experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing or equivalent lab experience.

The Lab Assistant supports laboratory operations by collecting, processing, and preparing specimens, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation to facilitate timely and reliable diagnostic testing. This role contributes to patient care, safety, and operational reliability by following regulatory standards and supporting efficient laboratory workflows. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Preferred Qualifications
