Job summary

MedQuest Imaging in Columbia, SC seeks a Registered Technical Assistant (CMA/Phlebotomist) to support imaging workflows in a collaborative outpatient setting. This PRN or part-time role focuses on patient prep, IV starts, and assisting Technologists and Radiologists to ensure efficient exams.

You will greet patients, collect medical histories, help with paperwork, and move patients safely between exam areas, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or CMA/RMA/ARRT credentials required (as listed).
• Certification through AAMA, NHA, AMT or ARRT in (R), (MR), (CT) or (M) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam.
• Assist the patient in completing electronic paperwork.
• Obtain medical history from the patient.
• Escort the patient to the changing room and ensure they are dressed appropriately for the exam.
• Escort patients to and from the mobile MRI or exam room.
• Assist the Technologist in preparing the MRI table (coil selection, changing linen, etc.).
• Start and remove IVs.
• Research availability and obtain reports and images requested by Radiologist.
• Serve as liaison between the Technologist and Radiologist.
• Other duties as assigned.
