Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support paraprofessional tasks and ensure high-quality pharmacy service. The role requires a Texas registered technician with at least 1 year of pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include IV compounding, inventory management, and coordinating med delivery to nursing units. PRN hours, with on-site duties, are available. Confidentiality and patient privacy are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Computer skills preferred.

Responsabilités

• Answers the telephone and front window.
• Compounds products in IV Lab using sterile technique.
• Gathers items for requisitions, orders, crash carts for pharmacist review.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area; restocks medications and supplies.
• Assists in maintaining inventory levels and notifies purchasing when items are low.
• Keeps drug storage systems updated through restock and troubleshooting.
• Makes rounds to nursing units for med delivery and discontinuations.
• Processes charges/credits for floor stock and narcotics in the system.
• Trains new employees as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
