Job summary

Millwood Hospital (a UHS Facility) in Arlington, TX is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for patients and staff according to approved menus and production sheets. If Lead Cook or Dietary Manager are away, you may manage the department temporarily.

A high school diploma and at least two years of quantity cooking experience with modified diets are required, along with sanitation training and a food handler’s permit. Industrial kitchen equipment experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking with knowledge of modified diets.
• Training in food service sanitation and possession of a food handler’s permit.
• Experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; supervisory experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.
• In absence of Lead Cook or Dietary Manager, assist with department management and operations.
