Job summary

Kingwood Pines Hospital is seeking a cook to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for patients and staff according to approved menus and production sheets.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of quantity cooking experience, and knowledge of modified diets. Training in sanitation and a food handler’s permit are preferred; experience with industrial kitchen equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years’ experience in quantity cooking, preferred.
• Basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of a food handler’s permit as required.
• Experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.

Responsibilities

• The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.
