Job summary

Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a PRN cook to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and staff according to the menu and production sheets. The role supports the dietary team and may step in for Lead Cook or Dietary Manager.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least two years of quantity cooking, knowledge of modified diets, sanitation training, a food handler permit, and experience with industrial kitchen

Qualifications

• Maintain sanitation standards and ensure food safety in the kitchen.

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. If Lead Cook or Dietary Manager are away to be able and manage Department until one returns.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler’s permit is required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful.
