Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio is seeking a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician to join Laboratory Services on the day shift. This PRN position involves routine and specialized histopathology procedures, including immunohistochemistry, with opportunities to work closely with pathologists.

You will support accurate specimen processing, ensure quality control, and maintain documentation in compliance with laboratory standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in MLT or MLS; histology training preferred.
• HTL/HT certification preferred or registry eligible.
• Must obtain certification within 18 months if registry eligible.
• Experience with histology procedures and quality control preferred.
• Ability to work independently with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized histopathology procedures including IHC.
• Maintain tissue processing knowledge and adhere to lab policies.
• Monitor, document quality control data to ensure accuracy.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues across testing phases.
• Maintain equipment, documentation, and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory team for timely results.
• Participate in projects and process improvements.
