Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio is seeking a direct hire Lab Assistant/Phlebotomy (PRN) to join our Laboratory Services team. You will collect venous and capillary samples, assist with processing, and help ensure timely, accurate lab workflows for inpatient and outpatient care.

The ideal candidate will have high school diploma or GED and formal phlebotomy training with certification. Weekend and holiday rotation may be required to support staffing needs and patient care around the clock.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Formal phlebotomy training with certification is required.
Must be able to respond to emergencies during off-hours.

Responsibilities

Collects venous and capillary blood specimens, and nasal swabs.
Interact with and perform standard specimen collection procedures across age groups.
Communicate with reference laboratory.
Maintain supplies for specimen collection and processing.
Keep phlebotomy work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
Know how to collate, route and distribute reports and materials.
Weekend and occasional overtime work is required; coverage of all schedules may occur.
