Job summary

El Paso Children’s Hospital Corporation seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to float across pediatric departments including Emergency, PICU, NICU, and more. The RN will perform nursing care using the nursing process, coordinate care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Must have an Associate Degree in Nursing (or BSN) with TX RN licensure and current BLS; PALS and ACLS must be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal relationship abilities.
• Ability to use computers for documentation and record-keeping.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care within Emergency, PICU, NICU, Hematology/Oncology, General Pediatrics, and PACU.
• Perform nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on clinical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes.
• Apply knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity in care.
