Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a PRN EKG Technician to join the Pulmonary Function Testing team in Mayfield Heights. You will work with nursing staff, AMET, physicians and other EKG technicians to coordinate and perform cardiac testing and ensure timely communication of results.
This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and either six months of direct patient care experience or completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology, paramedic, or medical assisting program.

The EKG technician will regularly interact with nursing staff, members of the Adult Medical Emergency Team (AMET), physicians, and other EKG technicians to coordinate and perform cardiac testing, ensuretimelycommunication of results, and support patient care across various clinical settings.
This is a PRN role. A caregiver in this position worksbetween 7:00am and 3:30pm or 3:00pm and 11:30pm. Other shifts will be based on facility needs.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform diagnostic electrocardiograms.
Position andconnectleads from electrocardiograph machines toelectrodes on specified body areas.
Review patients’ records and instruct patients prior to the procedure.
Monitor patients during procedures and report abnormal findings.
Identifyand correct wandering,interferenceand artifacts.
Edit and forward results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
Maintain EKG equipment and supplies.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED
Six months of experience related to direct patient care or customer service in a hospital setting
OR completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology,paramedicormedicalassistingprogram
