This role requires a High School diploma or GED, BLS certification, and preferred credentials as an Allied Health Professional. The schedule is 7:00am to 3:30pm, at Medina Hospital within Cardiology General.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or Red Cross) required.
• Preferred credentials as an Allied Health Professional.
• Completion of a Cardiac Technician and EEG Program is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform 12-lead Electrocardiograms (ECG).
• Conduct Holter monitor hook-ups and Cardiac Stress Testing as described (24/48/30-day monitors).
• Notify physicians, nurses or managers of abnormal results.
• Notify secretaries of needed supplies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; notify Clinical Engineering of unresolved issues.
• Process test results before and after physician interpretations.

As Cardiovascular Technician II, your skillswill help physiciansidentifyand diagnose issues with the heart and surrounding blood vessels.As needed, you will process test results, ensuringabsolute accuracy and clarity.Within this unit, youwillcollaborate with fellow caregivers and supervisors tofacilitateapositive, welcoming patient experience, frominitialintroduction to final sendoff. Acaregiver in this position works6:30am to 3:00pm with no weekends or holidays required.

Acaregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform 12-lead Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitor Hook-Ups and Cardiac Stress Testing, including 24-hour, 48-hour, and 30-day event monitors and/or EEG testing.

• Notify physicians,nursesor managers of abnormal results.

• Notify secretaries of needed supplies.

• Maintain/troubleshoot equipment and notify Clinical Engineering of ongoing problems that cannot be resolved.

• Process test results before and following physician interpretations.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Basic Life Support (BLS), Healthcare ProviderCertification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Credentials as an Allied Health Professional

• Completion of a Cardiac Technician and EEG Program

• Six months of experience as an ECG Tech and Stress Testing experience

Physical Requirements:

• Hand dexterity sufficient to handle ECG equipment and Holter monitors.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• May be required to lift up the 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
