Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technician for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will work the night shift, 6:30 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m., at Mayfield Heights location, joining a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist with basic patient care under RN supervision, monitor vital signs, and help keep rooms clean and organized while demonstrating empathy and compassion in every interaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• BLS certification through AHA within new hire period.
• Nursing students must have BLS before hire.
• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience.
• Additionaleducation/training may substitute for some experience.

Hillcrest Hospital’s Progressive Care Unit (PCU) offers hemodynamic monitoring, continuous respiratory care, pharmacologic interventions, and step-down open-heart,thoracicand cardiovascular services to diverse populations of young adult,adultand geriatric patients. Your work plays a direct role in our mission to continuously provide patients with the best healthcare experience possible.

A caregiver in this role works nights from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. with rotating holiday and weekend requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide orassistwith patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as takingvital signsandweight,assistingpatients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoringdevicesand removing urinary FoleyCatheters.

• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical,mentaland emotional conditions to an RN.

• Assistwith keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma/GED

• Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)within new hire period

• Nursing students: required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross prior to hire

• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience

• Additionaleducation/training may substitute for some/all the stated experience(i.e. mental health experience)

• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered

• Nursing studentswho have recently completed aminimum of one clinical rotationas part of an accredited nursing school program may substitute the clinical rotation for the required experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.

• Medium Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely, and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.

• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
