Job summary

Sentara Rehab Acute and Post Acute is seeking an Education Specialist in Virginia Beach to design, deliver, and manage onboarding and ongoing training for rehab staff. The role ensures new hires gain the knowledge and tools needed to integrate smoothly and perform effectively within the organization.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a clinical therapy field and state licensure eligibility (VA/NC).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a clinical therapy discipline (Speech-Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy) required.
• BLS – American Heart Association certification required.
• 2 years of Speech Language Pathology or Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
• Must hold or be eligible for state licensure in VA/NC (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and manage comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training programs for rehab staff.
• Collaborate with Rehab leadership to identify training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Ensure new hires acquire knowledge, tools, and resources to perform roles effectively.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $77,625.60 - $121,118.40 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
