Job summary

LAKESHOREVILLAGE is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and kitchen operations in our facility. You will learn food service routines, set up meal trays, and assist with serving meals, while maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions.

The role requires the ability to read procedures and recipes, and to work cooperatively with staff across departments. A food handlers' certificate is required, with standing/walking and lifting up to 50 pounds expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food handlers' certificate is required/maintained.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to present information to managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temp of dishwasher at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and grocery storage.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and surfaces.
• Participate in staff orientation and training.
• Work cooperatively with all departments.
