Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines within a short period.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.

• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles.
• Operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen area.
• Carry out trash and garbage duties.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly way.
• Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary; assist when called upon by cooks.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
