Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain the ALARA principle.
• Disinfect and prep rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders; use two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and address questions to reduce patient anxiety.
• Perform exams with contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and re-image if needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers and prior exams.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows and collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Ensure compliance and keep areas stocked; transport patients as needed.
