Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to join its Florida outpatient radiology team. The role emphasizes patient safety, high-quality CT imaging, and strong communication with radiologists and staff.

You may train new technologists and patient coordinators, and help troubleshoot scanners and related equipment. Ideal candidates hold ARRT CT certification (NMTCB acceptable where allowed), a valid state license, CPR certification, and a driver’s license for mobile duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Registered CT Technologist with ARRT required; NMTCB acceptable where allowed.
• State license to practice medical imaging where service is provided.
• CPR certification and ongoing competency in imaging safety required.
• Experience with contrast administration and radiation safety practices preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for mobile/remote site assignments if applicable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient radiology environment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast.
• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images for radiologists.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
• Train new technologists and patient coordinators as needed.
• Troubleshoot scanners and peripheral equipment including PACS monitors.
