Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist at our Raleigh, NC facility for a PRN role. The CT Technologist ensures patient safety and performs high-quality CT studies, while communicating with radiologists and staff.

Responsibilities include training new technologists, troubleshooting the scanner and peripheral equipment, and maintaining patient care standards. A state license and ARRT NMTCB options are noted; CPR and driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
• ARRT CT registration required; NMTCB acceptable if ARRT not available
• State license in Medical Imaging, if applicable
• CPR certification
• Active State Driver’s License
• Strong customer service skills
• Organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections
• Produces high-quality diagnostic CT images
• Communicates effectively with patients, radiologists and team members
• Trains new technologists and patient coordinators
• Troubleshoots CT scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.)
