Job summary

Akumin is seeking a CT Technologist for a full-time position in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on performing high-quality CT studies while prioritizing patient safety and clear communication with radiologists and team members.

The incumbent will train new technologists and patient coordinators, ensure proper pre-screening, and handle equipment troubleshooting. Mid-day shifts and a strong customer-service mindset are valued in this fast-paced radiology setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT CT certification or NMTCB CT certification acceptable where state allows.
• State medical imaging license, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Mid‑day shift experience.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Use aseptic injection techniques.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other stakeholders.
• Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators.
• Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (e.g., monitors, PACS).
