Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate PRN Nurse for the Facility Based Crisis Center in Jacksonville, NC. The role provides direct nursing care, med administration, and health monitoring for adults in crisis, operating 24/7 within established protocols.

The RN/LPN must hold an NC license, have crisis care or behavioral health experience preferred, and demonstrate strong clinical judgement and communication.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered North Carolina RN or LPN license.
• One year of behavioral health or substance use treatment experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing screenings and collect vital signs.
• Administer medications and monitor effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Lead crisis de-escalation and support trauma-informed care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and meds.
• Train and support non-licensed staff in nursing tasks and safety.
