Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Ahoskie, NC is seeking a compassionate full-time RN or LPN to provide direct nursing care in the Facility Based Crisis Center, including medication administration, withdrawal monitoring, and crisis stabilization.

You will train and support staff, maintain documentation in EHR, and ensure safety while coordinating with the program supervisor in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Active NC RN or LPN license (or compact) required.
• One year in behavioral health or substance use preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, medication administration, and ongoing health monitoring in a 24/7 Facility‑Based Crisis program.
• Administer medications, monitor effectiveness and adverse reactions, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Lead crisis de-escalation, serve as clinical liaison for shift team, and coach non‑licensed staff.
• Maintain thorough documentation of screenings, assessments, interventions, and incidents; support audits and quality improvement.
• Assist with training staff on medication tasks, vital signs, and documentation; ensure adherence to RN delegation rules.
