Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate full-time Nurse for the Facility Based Crisis Center in Jacksonville, NC. You will deliver direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor withdrawal and psychiatric status, and support staff in a fast-paced crisis setting.

The role requires NC RN or LPN licensure (or a Multistate license) with 1 year of behavioral health experience preferred. You’ll use EHR systems, participate in training, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Active NC RN or LPN license (or Multistate/Compact license)
• Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred
• Strong communication and ethical standards

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and medication administration in a crisis center
• Monitor vital signs and withdrawal indicators
• Document assessments, interventions, and incidents accurately
• Lead crisis de-escalation and support staff in trauma-informed care
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies and regulatory requirements
