Job summary

Shadelands Post Acute is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN scheduling to join our rehabilitation team in the United States. You will provide therapy under the supervision of a licensed OT and contribute to patient independence and functional goals.

Qualified candidates hold an active COTA certification and state license, with strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification and current state license.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Assist patients in improving independence with activities of daily living and functional mobility.
• Provide therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, balance, cognition, and functional skills.
• Monitor and communicate patient progress and changes to the OT and interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate treatment documentation per facility policies and payer requirements.
• Educate patients and families on techniques, home programs, and safety strategies.
• Participate in care conferences and discharge planning as needed.
