Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and treatment planning. The role involves direct resident care, documentation, and collaboration with nursing and therapy teams to support discharge goals.

The candidate will maintain compliance with state licensure, participate in training, and communicate progress to physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, maintenance programs, safety techniques, and fall prevention strategies.
