Avir at Brownwood is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house therapy team. You will provide skilled services under a licensed OT, delivering patient-centered care in a warm, geriatric setting.

Qualifications

• Active Texas COTA license.
• License in good standing with licensing boards.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric settings preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized therapeutic interventions.
• Assisting residents with activities of daily living and functional activities.
• Implementing treatment plans under the direction of the supervising OT.
• Monitoring and reporting resident progress and response to treatment.
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and techniques.
• Completing timely and accurate documentation.
• Communicating resident progress and concerns to the supervising OT.
• Collaborating with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team.
