Job summary

MUSC Lancaster is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support a busy nursing team. This PRN role involves assisting with patient care, hygiene, mobility and comfort under supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include helping with personal needs, recording vital signs when directed, and transporting patients as needed. BLS is required, and SC CNA registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA program completion within 6 months preferred if not certified.
• Preferred to be currently registered as a CNA in SC; must be listed on Nurse Aide Registry if certified.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing team with patient care activities and related services.
• Care for personal needs, comfort and safety of patients, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Assist with bed linens, patient transport to tests and procedures, and serving food trays.
