Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina in Lancaster seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) for PRN coverage. You will work under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing multi-skilled patient care tasks and assisting with personal needs and safety.

Responsibilities include helping with hygiene, mobility, linens, and transport to tests, plus documenting vital signs as directed. BLS and SC CNA registry awareness are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a CNA program within 6 months preferred if not certified.
• Preferred to be currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in SC; must be current on Nurse Aide Registry if certified.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing team with patient care activities and related services.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking; changes bed linens.
• Transports patients to tests and procedures and serves meals between tasks.
• Records temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.
