Job summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Medical University Health Chester Medical Center is a PRN, 12-hour weekly role working with the Medical Surgical Team. You will assist with patient care, daily living activities, and transportation to tests under RN supervision.

Required SC CNA registration and BLS prior to patient contact; a high school diploma or GED is needed, with preferred 1+ year of patient care experience in healthcare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina; maintain Nurse Aide Registry.
• BLS certification must be obtained before seeing patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing team with patient care activities and comfort.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and linens.
• Transport patients to tests and procedures and assist with nourishment.
• Record temperature or vital signs under a nurse's direction.
