Job summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide multi-skilled patient care. Assists nursing team with activities to support personal needs, comfort and safety.

PRN as-needed position with at least 12 hours bi-weekly, may require additional hours. Requires SC CNA license and AHA BLS; high school diploma or GED is required. MUSC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of patient care experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
• Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina; maintain AHA BLS prior to seeing patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and safety.
• Change bed linens and assist with patient transportation to tests and procedures.
• Record vital signs or temperature as directed by a nurse.
