Mercyhealth seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for Medical Surgical, PRN. The role provides essential patient care, responds to call lights, monitors vitals, and maintains clean patient areas. The CNA works across units as needed, under RN supervision, and trains new partners with unit educators.

Current CNA certification is required with CPR/BLS within 90 days. The position offers varied shifts and opportunities to contribute to quality care and safety within a large health system.

Competenze

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Mansioni

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine according to standards.
• Answers call lights promptly in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Maintains supplies and disposes of expired or damaged supplies.
• Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
• Training/precepting new partners with unit educator.
• Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel.
• Bladder scanning procedure review and competency checks.
• Attach patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor.
• Manage collection devices and fecal output measures.
• Care for indwelling catheters and output measures.
• Nasogastric tubes to suction; manage surgical drains.
