Job summary

Avery's House in Mesa, AZ is seeking an experienced Clinical Assistant (BHT) to provide daily support to adolescents living in our structured recovery housing. The role emphasizes reliability, responsibility, and compassionate care, with experience in adolescent mental health and substance use treatment preferred.

You will help with group activities, transport clients, enforce house rules, and ensure proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with adolescents preferred.
• Background in mental health or substance abuse beneficial.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred; may be required to obtain.

Responsibilities

Avery's House is a mental health treatment provider for adolescents. We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and responsible Clinical Assistant (BHT). Experience working with adolescents is preferred, and any additional experience with mental health and substance abuse is beneficial. This position provides daily support to those living in Avery's House structured recovery housing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support for adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues.
• Establish open lines of communication for individuals.
• Implement/enforce house rules.
• Transport clients with company vehicle.
• Supervise clients on outings.
• Group facilitation.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility.
• Ensure necessary documentation is complete.
• Other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• REQUIRED: Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License in good standing.
• REQUIRED: Must be minimum 21 years of age.
• REQUIRED: Must pass background check.
• REQUIRED: Must pass drug screening.
• REQUIRED: Must be able to walk up and down stairs, hills, bend and lift 25+lbs
• DPS fingerprint clearance card (preferred- will be required to obtain)
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred- will be required to obtain)
• Current TB test (will be required to obtain)

SCHEDULES

• We are hiring PRN staff for overnight shift. We generally run 12 hour shifts 6p-6a and 7p-7a.
