Job summary

Cool Springs Surgery Center in Franklin, TN is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (PRN) to support the operating room team. You will assist surgeons, nurses, and assistants by preparing the sterile field and instruments for procedures.

You must graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program, hold CST certification or be grandfathered, and have BLS. Preference for 1–2 years OR experience, but 0–2 years in related fields may be considered.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CST certification, or based on state regulations, grandfathered in if allowed.
• Prefer 1–2 years clinical OR experience; may accept 0–2 years in related field.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile field with instruments, drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Passes instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Assists with patient positioning and transfers as needed.
• Maintains inventory, physician preference cards, and instrument counts.
• Performs decontamination, sterilization, and quality testing related to sterilization.
