Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support nursing staff in delivering accurate med passes and high-quality resident care under the supervision of the charge nurse.

Must communicate effectively in English, have current CMA certification, and prior patient care experience is preferred. Duties include reporting changes to the Patient Care Supervisor, following PRN charting guidelines, and inventory documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Certified Medication Aide is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
