Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to support nursing staff in delivering high-quality resident care. The CMA will work under the supervision of the charge nurse to ensure timely and accurate med passes and to maintain safety and compliance.

Strong English communication and current CMA certification are required. Responsibilities include documenting PRN notes, reporting changes in patient condition, and participating in meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Certified Medication Aide is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
