Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to ensure timely and accurate med passes and uphold high-quality resident care.

The CMA will follow charting guidelines, report changes in patient condition, assist with medication orders, participate in trainings, and maintain current CMA certification.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in English through speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition to the Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in meetings, trainings, and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.

A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
