Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to work under the charge nurse. The CMA ensures timely and accurate med passes to maintain high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include reporting changes in patient condition, documenting PRN charts, ordering medications, attending trainings, and maintaining accurate inventory records of drugs. Current CMA certification is required to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Must have current Medication Aide certification.
• English language communication skills required in speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Reports medication reorder.
• Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
• Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Certified Medication Aide is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current certification for Medication Aide.
