Job summary

Legacy at Lamar is seeking Caregivers for day shifts (6a-2p) to provide essential support to residents. This rewarding role offers a chance to work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring residents’ comfort and well-being.

You will assist with daily living activities and respond promptly to resident needs. Competitive pay is offered, along with benefits including shift differentials and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification from recognized organizations.
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and dressing.
• Support residents with stand-by assist transfers.
• Provide quality personal hygiene care to residents.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
• Observe and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing supervisor.
• Apply infection control principles consistently during all care activities.
• Adapt to changing needs and responsibilities as required.

Schedule: Day Shift 6a-2p

About the Role:

As a Caregiver, you’ll have the rewarding opportunity to positively impact our residents each day. Working closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and under the guidance of our Health & Wellness Director, you’ll help ensure residents’ comfort, dignity, and well-being while contributing to their overall care plan. You’ll also serve as a positive representative of our facility’s commitment to compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and dressing
• Support residents with stand-by assist transfers
