Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison is seeking a PRN registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular care unit with complex assessment needs.

You will collect data, develop and adjust care plans, and coordinate with patients, families and an interprofessional team to achieve outcomes. Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive data from patient, family and other providers to form a holistic view.
• Analyzes data to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care.
• Identifies optimal outcomes in collaboration with the patient and interprofessional team.
• Develops and implements an evidence-based care plan with clinical judgement.
• Coordinates implementation with patient, family and team to maintain safety.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and outcomes; adjusts as needed.
• Communicates effectively with patient, family and team; contributes to quality practice.
• Maintains current knowledge and competency; applies evidence in care.
