SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Madison in Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift on the Medical/Respiratory Care Unit.

This PRN role delivers direct nursing care in settings requiring complex assessments under established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include comprehensive data collection, care planning, collaboration with an interprofessional team, implementing and evaluating care, and maintaining current knowledge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive data pertinent to the patient from the patient, family and other healthcare providers to develop a holistic view of the patient’s needs.
• Analyzes and synthesizes data to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care.
• Identifies optimal outcomes in collaboration with patient, family and interprofessional team.
• Develops a plan with strategies to attain outcomes using clinical judgement.
• Implements the plan and coordinates with patient, family and interprofessional team.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and outcomes.
• Maintains knowledge and competence; communicates effectively with the team.
• Applies evidence-based practice and patient age-specific needs.
