Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a part-time Echo Technologist to join the Echocardiography department. You will perform diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures, explain procedures to patients, and ensure proper documentation and reporting in the medical records.

The role requires completing a cardiac ultrasound training program, RDCS certification within 1 year, and BLS. You will work PRN as needed, including weekends, with an on-site schedule in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program required.
• RDCS certification required within 1 year of employment.
• BLS required.

Aufgaben

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures.
• Records quality information while performing imaging and follows procedures.
• Explains procedures and possible side effects to patient or family.
• Confirms physician requests and reviews patient history for proper indicators.
• Collaborates with physician to ensure quality patient care.
• Operates echocardiography equipment.
• Submits final reports to appropriate nursing unit, physician office, or medical records.
• Takes call, works weekends and rotates holidays.
