Job summary

Springwoods Behavioral Health, an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, provides acute inpatient treatment for adolescent, adult, and specialty program for women. The UM Coordinator coordinates the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of Springwoods Behavioral Health’s utilization review functions.

The UM Coordinator will achieve the goals of clinical, financial and utilization as set forth in the UM plan by effective management and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Nursing, Social Work/Counseling, Psychology).
• Three to five years work related experience in Inpatient psychiatric setting as a treatment team member or utilization review experience
• Strong knowledge of medical records review processes and utilization standards.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and county regulations pertaining to patient care.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex information.
• Effective communication skills for advocating on behalf of residents and collaborating with medical providers.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients and their treatment needs.

Responsibilities
