Job summary

You will coordinate the design, development and monitoring of UM functions, serve as a key internal resource for utilization across the continuum, and participate in performance improvement initiatives. A bachelor’s degree and inpatient psychiatry experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Nursing, Social Work/Counseling, Psychology).
• Three to five years' experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting or utilization review.
• Strong knowledge of medical records review processes and utilization standards.
• Familiarity with regulations affecting patient care.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information.
• Effective communication for advocating for residents and coordinating care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of UM functions.
• Achieve clinical, financial and utilization goals as set in the UM plan.
• Serve as an internal resource on appropriate utilization of resources and cross-continuum care.
• Carry out assignments to ensure success in financial management, quality and operational objectives.
• Participate in program development and unit performance improvement.
