Job summary

Signet Health Corporation, in partnership with Medstar Washington Hospital Center, seeks Behavioral Health Clinician to conduct psychosocial assessments in the ED, determine program eligibility, and provide direct social work services as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes facilitating groups, supporting marital/family therapies, and developing/reviewing treatment plans on units. Open shifts are available every day, including weekends and holidays, with a weekend differential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health, facilitating patients' access to community resources and conducting therapeutic groups.
• Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and display proficient oral/written communication skills.
• Must be currently licensed in Washington, DC as an LPC, LISW or an LICSW.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the psychiatric assessment process with the attending psychiatrists.
• Identifies age-appropriate developmental tasks and needs in care and treatment planning sessions.
• Completes Psychosocial Assessments, reviews treatment plans and conducts groups as needed on the Units.
• Maintains contact with nursing homes, medical-surgical units and other facilities to promote the program and educate regarding services available for clients/residents.
• Provides ongoing communications with referral sources concerning the status of patients referred into the program.
