Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is hiring a PRN Anesthesia Technician at our Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. You will support anesthesiologists and OR staff by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and assisting with patient positioning during surgery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year healthcare experience or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science may substitute for one year of healthcare experience.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required within new hire period.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize, clean, assemble, calibrate and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and movement of equipment to the OR.
• Stock carts and anesthesia supplies and maintain inventory.
• Report equipment problems to management and keep workroom orderly.
• Perform Point of Care testing after competency.
• Coordinate daily OR assignments with anesthesia and surgical teams.
• Transport anesthesia equipment to off-site locations as needed.
• Maintain records and ensure equipment status up to date.
