Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System's Main Campus in Cleveland is seeking a PRN Anesthesia Technician to join a high‑performing surgical team. You will assist anesthesiologists by sterilizing, assembling, testing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, and help position patients for procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree in Science can substitute for one year of healthcare experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within new hire period.

Responsibilities

• Stock carts and surgical suites with required supplies as per stock par list.
• Assist with airway management and equipment needs for providers.
• Deliver blood samples to lab and retrieve blood products.
• Disassemble, decontaminate and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Report equipment problems and maintain orderly workroom.
• Perform Point of Care testing after competency.
• Coordinate OR assignments with anesthesia/OR staff at shift start.
• Transport anesthesia equipment to and from operating rooms.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory levels of supplies.
• Prepare and test anesthesia equipment for procedures and perform basic maintenance.
• Turn over rooms to minimize downtime between cases.
• Distribute equipment and medications to anesthesia providers.
